Spring Soccer Tournament

Jacob decided he wanted to play Soccer, again, after a year-long hiatus. His friend, Ian, was on a YMCA team and Jacob was allowed to join. Their team's best finish, during the season, was a tie. The league put together a day of single-elimination tournaments at the end of May.
It was one of our most exciting Soccer moments. Ever.
Game One was tied 0-0, but our team (The Mashed Potatoes) were playing better than they had been all season! We weren't optimistic about our chances in an overtime situation. When the head referee announced "20 seconds left" we were all on our feet, hoping for a miracle. It happened with an assist from a teammate named Austin and a last-second (pretty) goal from our very own Jacob!!! The team and spectators went wild. Jacob was hoisted up on the coach's shoulders and high-fives were passed around, frantically. It was one of our most exciting Soccer moments. Ever. They went on to fare well enough in a shootout to play another tournament and beat *that* team after TWO, extremely nerve-wracking shootouts! Jacob made his shot in both. Our exhausted, underdog team played the top-ranked team in the finals and lost. They left with silver medals and awesome memories.
