Santa at the Magic Kingdom.

Does it get any better than that?

Santa Claus visited the Magic Kingdom, so we did, too. It was a chilly day (for Florida) and made it feel even more Christmas-y. The park was packed, but we made a beeline for Candy Cane Garden, where Santa would soon make his appearance. The boys were waiting, excitedly, when we saw him. The man in red. He greeted each child in line and then waited to have his lap invaded.
Matthew and Will had no hesitation, whatsoever. They plopped right down and requested "Mack", the tractor trailer and a yellow Biplane. (They must've made the cut, because Santa did end up delivering those very items on Christmas Eve.)
After our visit with St Nick, we braved the crowds to squeeze in a little more fun. We took the river raft to Tom Sawyer's Island, an attraction we'd never visited. The boys could've stayed there for hours. They climbed the many steps, watched the water wheel, and played in the fort.
Later in the day, Matthew and I were walking behind Art and the other boys. Everyone that passed them turned to stare and whisper to each other. I couldn't figure out why until I got a little closer and realized that they were walking directly behind Whoopi Goldberg! We don't have any pictures of our celebrity sighting. You'll have to trust us on that one.
That evening we met up with Ron, Denise, Devin, Ashlen and their nephew Evan at Animal Kingdom. The kids played together until the park closed. Then they continued to wear themselves out at Chik-Fil-A while the grown-ups caught up and feasted on chicken nuggets.
What a great day!!
